INDUSTRIAL TESTING LEGAL OBLIGATIONS
Due to introduction of The Control of Noise at Work Regulations (2005) all employers are required to:
- Assess the risks to staff from workplace noise.
- Take action to reduce noise exposure.
- Provide adequate hearing protection for those employees exposed to noise.
- Provide information to employees regarding hearing loss and protection.
- Carry out hearing surveillance for staff where there is risk to health.
HOW DOWLING HEARING INDUSTRIAL CAN HELP YOUR COMPANY
We provide full comprehensive Hearing Test service screen tests, either at your business premises or at one of our local Optical Clinics. The testing is performed by a fully qualified, Registered Hearing Aid Audiologists.
The testing procedure consists of:
- A questionnaire being completed by each employee.
- An examination of the employee’s ears.
- An audiometric hearing test.
- An explanation of the results with the employee.
- Full categorisation of the results in line with HSE guidelines.
A report will be made for the employer with a referral letter enclosed for any employee that needs to be referred to their GP.
